Lacoste is a French apparel company founded in 1933 that sells high-end clothing, footwear, leather goods, watches, eyewear, and most famously, tennis shirts. The company can be recognized by its green crocodile logo. The Lacoste brand dates back to 1933, when the famous French tennis athlete, Rene Lacoste, co-founded the apparel company with business partner Andre Gillier. Prior to his success as a designer, Lacoste was a truly ferocious tennis player, a member of the infamous "four musketeers," French tennis luminaries who took home all the major titles during the post World War I period.

Lacoste brand can be found in stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, and other independent retailers. In Canada, Lacoste is sold in Holt Renfrew, Harry Rosen,its own boutiques, and other independent retailers. In Australia, Lacoste is sold in David Jones.
